Genevieve M. Miller

Genevieve M. Miller of Kettering, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 at Heartland of Beavercreek. She was born December 24, 1916 to the late Henry and Julia (Brunner) Ring. Genevieve married Daniel J. Miller, Sr. on October 10, 1936, and he preceded her in death on November 16, 1996 after 60 years of marriage.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Suellen Marie Miller; son-in-law, Dan Ferguson; four sisters; and one brother.

Genevieve is survived by her two daughters, Marilyn (Albert) Godsey, and Joy Ferguson; son, Daniel J. (Crystal) Miller, Jr.; granddaughter, Kathy (Jerry) Lacy; grandson, Richard Godsey; one great-granddaughter, Lacey (Chad) Collard; two great-great grandsons, Caden and Carter Collard, and numerous other great-grandchildren.

She was a great smiling lady with lots of laughter and will be deeply missed by her loving family. A special thanks to the staff at Heartland of Beavercreek for their compassion and care during her stay.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1625 Calvary Dr. Dayton, 45409 with Fr. Chris Coleman officiating. Interment to follow the service in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Hospice of Dayton in Genevieve’s memory.
