

Cleveland, George, age 72 of Beavercreek, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Cecile Cleveland and a son-in-law, Tom Hannen. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janelle. Their marriage was an inspiration of lifelong love and devotion. One daughter, Debbie Hannen of Beavercreek also survives him, as do two granddaughters: Jamie Hannen of Columbus and Jennifer Hannen of Greenesboro, N.C. His sister, Judy and brother-in-law Ed Roberts also survive him. George was an independent Cornwell Tools Salesman for many years. He had a life-long interest in hot-rodding and built several in his home garage. He and Janelle both worked at Kil-Kare Speedway for many years. He had a kind heart and brought home several stray dogs to care for over the years. Memorial services will be held at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall on Wednesday evening, September 12, 2012 at 7 PM with Pastor Donald Payne officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 PM until the time of the memorial on Wednesday evening. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals (SICSA) in George’s memory.
