Gertrude (Trudy) Mae Mitchell passed away at home on March 6, 2020. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 15, 1945 to Clarence L. and Ellis Mae Swartz. She was preceded in death by her father and her son Timmy who was 6 yrs. old at the time. She is survived by her loving mother and sister Mary Adams. Her children Jackie Eugene (Lynette) Sage and Tammy Sage. She is also survived by four grandchildren and one step-grandson; Kristin, Kylee, Mikey, Tara and Cody. Also leaving eleven great grandchildren one of whom she raised from birth, Kace. Two nephews Richard and Chris Brewer and their families, also aunts and uncles and cousins. Like her daddy, she never met a stranger and like her mom and dad, loved gardening. Her struggle is over on earth and now she is in God's Paradise. A Visitation will be held at the Tobias Funeral Home at 3970 Dayton Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road, Beavercreek, Ohio on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 11 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at Noon with Pastor Rick Smith presiding. Burial will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 170 N Valley Rd., Xenia, Ohio 45385. The family gives a special thanks to Hospice of Ohio and Pastor Rick, Lori and Mary for their love and caring prayer and support.
