She was an all-around athlete participating in softball, racquetball, waterskiing and bowling. She also enjoyed ceramics and collecting angels, cats, and frogs. She intensely loved her family, her cats and dogs, and gardening.
Aside from her loving parents, Ginger was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Heinkel, Sr.; her sister, Lana Raco; and her brother, John Fitzpatrick.
She is survived by her three sons, Gary Heinkel, Jr. (Carrell), Thomas Heinkel (Terri), Tyrone Heinkel (Julie); her brother, James Fitzpatrick, and five grandchildren, Nicholas, Kevin, Katherine, Daniel, and Rachel, and her cat, Clarice.
Ginger’s family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Brookdale Senior Living Solutions and Suncrest Hospice for their amazing care and love. Over the past few years, she grew to see Brookdale as her home and the staff as her friends.
