Gloria Ann Willauer

Gloria Ann (Myers) Willauer, 86, passed onto the Church Triumphant on Saturday October 2, 2022 in Dayton, OH. She was born in Clearfield, PA on May 6, 1936 to Daniel Myers and Lessie (Wagner) Myers, and raised by Rhoda and Daniel Myers of York, PA.

She married The Rev Mr Robert A Willauer on May 28, 1960 and together they had four children and are survived by the same: Susan Lessie Hickey (Joseph), Linda Margaret Utt (James), John Paul Willauer and Christopher David Willauer (Tami). They have six grandchildren: Danielle Cain Wimmer, Nathan Cain, Jordan Willauer, Luca Willauer, Connor Utt and Liam Utt; and one great-grandson, Carter Cain.

Her love of travel can be seen through her many trips as she visited family in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Colorado and the national park system in the United States. She felt very fortunate to be able to have traveled all continents except Australia and Antarctica. During her retirement years she enjoyed being a snowbird in her little house on Fort Myers Beach and created many happy memories with family and friends as they visited.

She directed Children's Choirs in churches in Blandon, Pa, Altoona Pa, and the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Dayton. She taught music in the Guilford Township School System in PA; in the rural Altoona, PA area; and in the Kettering City Schools, OH.

The Service will be held at The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 155 E. Thruston Blvd., Dayton, OH at 1:00pm, Saturday, October 22. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Service. Reception to follow at the church. Interment will be in Pennsylvania at the convenience of the family.
