Harold was born in Rochester, New York, to Andrew and Mabel (Chatterton) Pechie. He married the love of his life, Mary Ellen (Mousseau) in 1973, and together they raised three children; Karen (Dustin) Bozwell, Sarah (Ryan) Adams, and David Pechie. Harold was most proud of his grandchildren, Gabriel and Jessica Adams and Brinley and Braelyn Bozwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Judson Pechie. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, sister Marcia Marks, brother James Pechie, and many nieces and nephews.
Harold worked in the printing industry for his entire career. He always enjoyed serving his community and was an active member of the Kettering Dor-Wood Optimist Club. Harold liked to travel and was a lifelong New York Yankees fan. Family is what was most important to him.
A gathering of friends will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020, at Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave. from 5:00- 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the Dor-Wood Optimist Club at PO Box 292266, Kettering, Ohio 45429.
