Remembering Doug Walton with heavy hearts. We bid farewell to Doug, a devoted family man, a skilled aircraft mechanic, and a dedicated military veteran. Doug passed away on July 25, 2023, of natural causes leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy that will be treasured forever. He began his journey in the military right after graduating from High School. Showing remarkable talent for mechanics and the desire to see the world, he specialized in aircraft corrosion control, where his skills would leave a lasting impact on the aviation industry. After completing technical school, Doug was assigned to the beautiful country of Panama, where he served at Howard Air Force Base. Following his tour in Panama, Doug chose to separate from the military and returned to Dayton. His expertise did not go unnoticed, and he was soon recruited by Lockheed Martin to support the C130 fleet in Saudi Arabia. Throughout his tenure in Saudi Arabia, he moved around in the Middle East, serving diligently for over a decade. Doug’s passion for aviation and his adventurous spirit eventually brought him back to Ohio, where he remained a loving and devoted father to his daughter, Christina. He was also blessed with two grandchildren Mallorie and Tavian, whom he adored, finding joy in every moment spent with them. As we mourn the loss of this remarkable individual, we also celebrate the life he lived, the values he embodied and the impact he made on the lives of others. Doug will forever remain in our hearts and will be remembered as a devoted family man, a skilled aircraft mechanic and a patriot.
Rest in peace Doug, may your soul find eternal tranquility
