

She was the daughter of Mary Alice Ernestine (Taylor) Danforth Ferrell and Albert Lee Danforth. They were married on February 26, 1932 in Meigs, Ohio, and she was born on May 26, 1933, in Parkersburg, WV.
Ila was a Korean Conflict Veteran of the United States Air Force. She was awarded a National Defense Service Medal during her enlistment and assigned to the 3607th Support Squadron (Flying) at Ellington Air Force Base located in Texas.
She married Robert Dexter Fluharty on August 3, 1962, in Wood County, West Virginia. After 22 years of marriage, Robert passed away on March 8, 1984, at the age of 52 in Beavercreek, Ohio.
In addition to Robert, she is preceded in death by her parents and brother Albert Lee Danforth, Jr.
Survivors include her sister Linda Louisa “Lou” Danforth Warren; daughter Mary Adell (Pumper) Korns and husband David Korns; son Robert Dexter Fluharty II and wife Jennifer (Riegle) Fluharty; three grandchildren: Christopher Korns, Shawn Korns and Robert Taylor Fluharty; as well as two beautiful great-grandchildren, RockTony Korns and Allen Korns.
Funeral services will be held at Tobias Funeral Home on Friday, May 23 at 9:30 am and will be interred directly following the service at the Mount Zion Park Cemetery next to Robert in Beavercreek, Ohio.
