PETHAKIS, Isabel Georgia (Hays) (Yaya), 86, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Kettering, Ohio, passed away on June 22, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas B. Hays and Louise E. Marple Hays, brother-in-law Dale E. Randall. Survived by loving husband John Pethakis, devoted son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Susie Wendling, granddaughters, Jessica Bush (Kyle), Katie Watson (Chance), great-granddaughter, BB Bush, sister, Kathryn A. Randall, niece, Lu Ann Stanley (Steven), nephew, Samuel P. Stanley, and sister-in-law, Georgia P. Chanos (Ted). Isabel was born in Lebanon, Kentucky and moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1942. She was the owner of The Biltmore Hotel Beauty Salon, Isabel’s Salon at the Talbott Tower, and the Dairy Delight on Stroop Road. Prior to their move to Texas in 2014, Isabel and John were members of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Dayton, Ohio. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
