

Darling, Iva Jean, age 85, died Saturday May 14, 2016 unexpectedly. She was born March 11, 1931 in Talihina, Ok to John and Etta (Green) Jordan, growing up and being educated in Talihina. Iva married Jerome Darling of the US Air Force, March 8, 1950, settling in Dayton, Ohio in 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and one brother. She worked as a secretary at Airesearch Casting Co. in Torrance, Ca. for ten years and retired from there in 1989 with husband Jerome, returning to Dayton to spend their final years together, they were married for 66 years. Iva was a wonderful selfless wife, mother, grandmother and always put others before her as to help in any way possible. She loved cooking, sewing, took up painting and crafts, loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. She is survived by her husband and four daughters, Deborah Elaine Cashen and husband Michael, Leslie Annette Tatman and husband Melvin, Lori Gail Shiflet and her husband George, Lisa Rhea Olsen and her husband Scot. Other survivors include, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was loved by her friends and family and will be missed dearly, as we were blessed to have had her in our lives for so many years. Pastor Terry Carlisle will be officiating a celebration of life memorial on June 3, 2016 @ 6:00 pm in the Chapel of the Woods, located at the Secret Garden, 4107 E. SR73, Waynesville, OH.
