PATRICK, James Edward age 75, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Hospice of Dayton. Jim is a 1961 graduate and letterman of Beavercreek High School. He was an Ohio State Patrolman before going to work for General Motors Delco Moraine in 1966 and retiring with over thirty years of service. He was a Box 21 Rescue Squad volunteer, and a Montgomery County Reserve Sherriff Deputy. Jim was also a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and the Corvette Troy Car Club; he loved car racing and treasured his time pit crewing for his friends. He cherished attending “Chili Fest Wednesdays” at Skyline with his retirement family from GM. He is preceded in death by his mother and step-father Ruth(John)Shoup and father Ralph Patrick, and his beloved wife of 49 years, Anna Mary Patrick. Jim is survived by his loving daughters, Beth(Charlie)Sicking of Indiana, and Julie Patrick of Dayton, grandchildren Bob(Mary)Campbell, and Jennifer Campbell, five great-grandchildren, brother David(Juanita)Patrick of California, and step-brothers Bill(Donna)Shoup, and Tom(Mary)Shoup, sister-in-law Jane Otterbein, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Family will receive friends 11:00AM to 1:00PM Friday, August 24, 2018 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel. Graveside service will follow at 1:30PM in the David’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the Hospice of Dayton in Jim's memory.
