Patterson, James A. age 84 of Kettering passed away Monday July 1, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his wife Erma and a brother Beryl Patterson. Survivors include his children, Linda (Mark) Farney, Dennis (Astrid) Patterson, Michael (Kim) Patterson; a sister Imogene Orr of Knoxville, TN.; 2 grandchildren Matthew Farney and Elizabeth (Mike) Maxson; 2 great grandchildren, Darcy and Isaac Maxson; 2 step grandchildren, Karey Slone and Geoffrey Breslin; 3 step great-grandchildren, Tyler Toner, Brooklyn Slone, and Aiden Slone; numerous nieces and nephews. He retired from Delco Moraine after 33 yrs of service. Funeral Service 10 am Friday July 5, 2013 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Rd. Pastor Don Payne officiating.
