

Jane Katterheinrich McGarry, beloved wife, mother, and sister passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, January 10th, 2025, at the age of 67. Jane was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Donna Katterheinrich. She is survived by her husband Edward McGarry, daughter Elizabeth Goodall, son Eric Enz (Maria), stepdaughter Margaret McGarry (Kelley McTaggart), stepson Edward McGarry Jr., brothers Kurt Katterheinrich (Colleen), Mark Katterheinrich (Diane) and John Katterheinrich (Stephanie).
Jane was a graduate of Troy High School and Miami University with a BS in Business Administration.
Jane was a successful banker, rising to become Commercial Banking Senior Underwriter-Vice President at number of Dayton area banking institutions. Jane was a trailblazer and mentor for women in commercial banking underwriting in the Greater Dayton area.
Jane loved spending time with family and friends. She was a dedicated mother, wife, and friend. She enjoyed outdoor activities (hiking, golf, snow skiing) however, her real passion was tennis. She was a member of the Schroeder Tennis Center for many years as she excelled playing competitive tennis winning numerous awards. Jane truly enjoyed tennis and the friendships she forged on and off the court.
Jane was a member and a volunteer at Immaculate Conception Church, and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She was a member United States Tennis Association (USTA), and the Miami Valley Tennis Association serving as a Team Captain, Co-captain, and an active member for 20+ years.
Jane’s grace, joy, and lively spirit will be missed by all that knew her.
In honor of Jane’s life, a visitation will be held at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, Ohio 45432 Wednesday, January 15, 2025, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025, 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church 2300 S. Smithville Rd. Dayton, OH. 45420.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association-Miami Valley Chapter or to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church.
