Jeffrey “Hollywood” McCormick, 64, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, after a four-year battle with ALS, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on August 15, 1961, to the late Robert and Sally McCormick, Jeffrey lived a life defined by faith, family, and a passion for craftsmanship.
A devoted man of God, Jeffrey’s love for the Lord guided him through life and inspired those around him. He was known for his kind heart, unwavering integrity, and the quiet strength he carried through every season.
After retiring after 28 years at UPS, he was able to spend more time pursuing his passion of building cars. Whether building his “Sinister C4 Pro Street Corvette” or just tinkering in the garage, his hands were always busy, and his work spoke volumes about his skill and dedication. He poured care into every project, much like he did in his relationships with family and friends.
Family was the center of Jeffrey’s world. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially trips to Gatlinburg and Hickory Hills Lake—a place filled with memories, laughter, and peace. Those times brought him immense joy and will be remembered fondly by all who shared them with him.
Jeffrey leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Aside from his parents, Jeffrey is preceded in death by his daughter, Angie Kuhlke and sister-in-law, Vickie Penix.
Jeffrey is survived by loving wife of 26 years, Barbara; daughters, Brittany (Eric) Clauss, Ashley (David) Caldwell; grandchildren Christopher “CJ” Fischer, Quinn Kuhlke; brother, Rob (Lisa) and numerous other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association or Hospice of Dayton.
Services will be at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek. Visitation for Jeffrey will be Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a funeral service at 12:00pm and burial at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
