BARRETT, John H., age 58, passed away at Bethesda North Hospital on Friday, July 24, 2015 surrounded by close friends and family. John was preceded in death by his parents, Harry V. and Margaret (Ludwick) Barrett. He grew up in Belmont, OH and graduated from Belmont High School in 1975. After attending Sinclair College and Wright State University, he earned his Professional Land Surveyor license and went on to pursue a career with The Ohio Dept. of Transportation. After retiring in 2011, John enjoyed road rallies and writing numerous blogs on a variety of subjects. He also pursued his interests in music, science fiction, history and genealogy. John was a smart, sensitive, generous friend and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends may call between 10am until 12pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Tobias Funeral Home Belmont Chapel 648 Watervliet Ave Dayton,OH 45420. Interment will be in Hillsboro Cemetery at 2:30pm on Wednesday.
