

Russell, Jordan Michael, age 30, of Beavercreek, OH passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 13, 2012, in Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary Lou and Theodore Russell and his special lifelong friend, Phillip Stohr. Jordan is survived by his parents, Julie K. (Russell) and John Sostrom, of Beavercreek; paternal grandparents, John P. and Anne Sostrom, of Sterling, VA; sisters, Maria Sostrom, of Beavercreek and Melissa Choi, of Korea; brothers, John-Eric Choi, of FL, Stephan Sostrom, of MO and Benjamin Sostrom, of Columbus. He is also survived by his biological father, Husam M. Akkawi, of VA, numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, a multitude of special friends and his beloved canine companion, Colt. Jordan was a graduate of Beavercreek High School where he excelled as an athlete, being involved in wrestling, soccer and baseball. He was a loyal friend and enjoyed "cabrewing" and tailgating with friends and was an avid Colt's fan. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012, at Mt. Zion Church, 428 Shepherd Road, Xenia, OH with Pastor Larry Stroble officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2012 and again from 9-10 a.m. on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Jordan M. Russell Memorial Fund % Wright- Patterson Credit Union.
