

Judith “Judy” L. (Baudendistel) Mott, age 82 of Dayton, peacefully passed away on February 21, 2024. She was born in Dayton to the late Helen and Elmer “Red” Baudendistel. Survived by her children, Norb (Vicki) Mott of Dayton, Laura (Scott) Tobe of Clearwater, FL, and Dan (Lisa) Mott of Gilbert, AZ; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Martin, Brian Mott, Sean (Jen) Tobe, Craig (Jesse) Tobe, Kevin (Stevie) Mott, and Kyle Mott; and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Will, Mary, Lydia, Duke, Meralys, and Joavier.
Judy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies from Wright State University, and Master’s Degree in Public Administration from University of Dayton. As a lifelong Daytonian, Judy had a passion for her community and the arts. She worked for Montgomery County for over 30 years, in which she served as Manager of Community Development, Executive Director of Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District, and Director of Memorial Hall.
She was committed to her community and served on a variety of Boards of local organizations.
Judy enjoyed spending her time with family, many friends and her cats Ginger and Spice.
Judy always loved her yard of flowers, and her final resting place will be at Calvary Cemetery in the St. Kateri Preserve, a beautiful preserve of wildflowers.
The family would like to thank Day City Hospice and the staff at Wellington of Dayton for their excellent care and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held for close family and friends at a later date.
