It's been well over a year and I miss my dear friend each and every day. No other like her! Miss our long talks and all our laughs!  All those crazy stories that could only happen to you! Kathy O was a very dear friend since our early Air Force nurse days at Scott AFB Hospital.  When I came back to the US after a tour in Southeast Asia, she offered me a place to stay until I was able to get settled into my new life as a flight nurse, which was what she was doing as a Reservist while going to school in St. Louis.  She truly was one of the nicest people I have ever met.  A good Christian in every sense of those words.  Every one who knew her, loved her!  She will be in my daily thoughts and prayers every day for the rest of my life.  I send my sincerest sympathies to her children, her family, her friends  and all who loved her, for there will never be another one like her.

 Kathy took care of our daughter (Kate) in our home for several years.  Kate passed away at age 6 but always looked forward to "fun, no peanuts, Kathy" coming to the house. We are so sorry for your loss, she was a wonderful, caring woman.

Kathy was a very strong lady who made a big impact on the lives of many. The beautiful pictures clearly define this. Know that we are thinking of you. We will miss our wonderful cousin and thankful she was a part of our lives.

My condolences to Kathy's family.  I met Kathy twenty years ago through school nursing activities.  She was always smiling and willing to help out fellow nurses, students and anyone else who needed assistance .... a true nurse!   I'll miss you Kathy, but know that you are at peace and in God's hands.  You touched my life in many positive ways and I will always be grateful.

Kathy touched the lives of so many people!  She left a part of herself with individual from New Jersey to Ohio, Ohio to California, California to Oklahoma, Oklahoma to Florida, and more. Kathy never wanted to bother anyone or be a burden, yet she would stay up all night to finish a blanket for a friend, a dress for her granddaughter, a report for church, etc... Even when she felt lonely, angry, or anxious, she always put others first. Kathy had a strong faith and dedicated her life to serving God. The last thing Kathy asked us was to continue praying for her children, grandchildren, daughter-in-law, siblings, and our Nation. Before she left, we told her, "It is not good-bye, but until we see each other again."  Kathy replied with a smile, "Yes, Christ 'has gone before me to make a place for me in His Father's Home.' I will see you there!"

We are so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing.  Her faith and her fantastic attitude about life were great examples for us all.  We have lots of great memories with Kathy and all of the Owens and Beekmans. Our favorite was Kathy joining us in St. Thomas for our wedding.  She will be greatly missed.  Our condolences to everyone.

I am so sad to hear that Kathy has passed away, but to know that she is no longer in pain is a great relief to all of us.  She was a great friend and co-worker, and we will all miss her terribly.  She inspired many people, and she was such an incredible school nurse, caring for many, many children, including my own, over the years.  I would not be where I am today without her support and guidance.  Kathy, you will be forever in my heart and to Kathy's family---prayers for strength are being sent during this most difficult time.  Kathy was loved and admired....rest well, my friend.

I remember looking up to Kathy when I was a teenager and remember wanting to be a nurse like she was.  I lost track of her, but my memories of her and the Owens family are very fond ones.  My love and prayers to you all.  Betsy Wackernagel Bach.

I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing.  May the memories you shared with her bring a smile to your face for a long time to come.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Kathy was a wonderful mother figure to me. Her upbeat can do attitude and love for her children and grandchildren are two of the many things I will always cherish about her. I am so sorry for your loss. Katy my love, you and your family are in my prayers.
