

Kerry Dean Blackaby, 70, passed away suddenly on Sunday afternoon, April 27, 2025. He was born on October 16, 1954, the son of the late James and Audie Blackaby. He married Sheryl Lynn Blackaby (Hill) on June 8, 1979 and spent the entirety of his life in Xenia, Ohio. The two were happily married for nearly 37 years until Sheryl’s untimely death in 2016.
Kerry lived through the 1974 Xenia tornado and later graduated from Xenia High School. He then attended Wright State University where he achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He was a joint founder of Blackaby Spouting, a company started with his father in which he spent his entire career installing seamless gutters and spouting and managing the family business.
Most importantly, Kerry was a devout Christian who dedicated his life to the Lord. He was a faithful member of the Knollwood Church of Christ in Beavercreek, Ohio and was attending worship services at the time of his death. He passed away surrounded by family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Jason Blackaby (wife Abby Blackaby) and Brian Blackaby (wife Erin Blackaby), and five grandchildren, Aubree, Micah, Porter, Lucas, and Sophia Blackaby.
Services will be held at 11:30am, Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Tobias Funeral Home- Beavercreek Chapel 3970 Dayton Xenia Rd., with Heath Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 to 11:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia, Ohio
