

Kevin P. Harris, 74, husband of Jacqueline J (Hunt) Harris, quietly passed away at home, February 10th 2026. He was a perfect example of a good and loving, son, brother, cousin, husband, father, and grandfather. Kevin, per his mother-in-law, was a wonderful caring son-in-law, who during his visits to Texas became their handyman, always helping and fixing things.
Kevin was born October 29th 1951 in New York City, NY to the late loving parents, John Joseph Harris and Mona Anne (Fallon) Harris. Kevin graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a BS degree in Biology and later from Wright State University (WSU) with a BS in Systems Engineering.
After graduating from WSU, Kevin, was employed by Wright-Patterson AFB, as electronics engineer in the Air Force (AF) Avionics Lab initially and later transferring to AF Research Lab, Structure Division, Acoustics/Mechanical Vibrations Branch. Kevin retired in 2012 after 34 years. He received numerous individual cash award and group time-off awards during his career at W-P. Kevin was a typical engineer, meticulous, logical, analytical, technical and creative.
Kevin was an avid skier, loved skeet shooting, later switching to range shooting. He was a woodworking enthusiast, as can be attested by the many pieces of wonderful wood work in his home. He enjoyed attending all his grandson’s, soccer practices and games, spanning more than 11 years until his health became an issue.
Kevin was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Jacqueline of 51 years, a loving and devoted father to his son Damien, and a loving and devoted grandfather to his grandsons, Conner, who called him papaw, and Kane, who called him grandpa. He leaves behind his sisters Madeline Harris, Christine (Harris) Scaramuzzo (Tony), his brother Michael (Cyril) Russel-Harris, his Uncle William (late Mary) Fallon his cousins, Kathy (Michael) McCormick, Eileen (Phil) Goldberg, Denis Collins and Scott (Dawn) Fallon. A host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, John J and Mona A Harris, his brother John P (Pat) Harris, his sister, Mona A Tierney (late Joe), and his Aunt Eileen (late George) Collins
Kevin was a parishioner of Saint Luke the Evangelist Church in Beavercreek attending since 1983. In recent years, due to his health, he has been attending via Facebook.
