Lorna Tessie Haney

Lorna T. (King) Haney, age 80 of Enon, formerly of Beavercreek, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio. Lorna was born September 29, 1941 in Campton, KY to the late Merviel and Evalee (King) King, also preceding her in death were her beloved husband of 57 years, Press Haney in 2015, her daughter Cynthia Simpson, brother, Danny King.

Lorna leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Teresa (fiancé Danny Manley) Bent, Loretta (Ron) King; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

Lorna was an avid reader, she owned and operated her two bookstores in Dayton and Fairborn, Ohio for over 10 years, which were her pride and joy. She poured her heart and soul into her businesses, which showed to all her customers and patrons. In addition to owning her bookstores, Lorna was a member of AVON. She spent much of her time on sales receiving many awards and trips through the company for her sales. Everyone who knew Lorna, knew how kind natured she truly was. Lorna was full of strength, positivity and joy, traits that were obvious to all that met her. Lorna was devoted to genealogy and logged thousands of hours traveling all over the country researching her family tree. Our family will miss her more than words can say.

There will be a visitation at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton – Xenia Road, Beavercreek Friday, April 15 starting at 11:00 am, followed by funeral services at 1:00 pm with Pastor Randy Rice presiding. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
