Lynn James Lake

Age 90, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Lamplight Inn Assisted Living. Lynn was born November 22, 1920 in Dayton to Lynn D. and Agnes (Fennessy) Lake. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary (Swope) Lake; three sons, James (Carol) Lake of Lawrenceburg, IN, Dan Lake of Miamisburg, OH, and William Lake of New Windsor, MD; one daughter Mary (William) Prinke of BelAir, MD; a sister, Virginia (Angelo) Lauricella of Dayton, OH; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Lynn is preceded in death by two brothers William and Philip; an infant daughter Patricia and a son-in-law William. Lynn served in the US Army Air Corp as a navigator during World War II. He was a 1938 graduate of Chaminade High School and a 1962 graduate of the University of Dayton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 24th at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5080 Burkhardt Rd., Riverside with Father Dave Brinkmoeller officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 – 8 pm on Saturday, May 21st at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton.
