Margaret Adele Hill

Margaret Adele (Powilleit) Hill, age 88, of Centerville, Ohio passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Kettering Hospital. She was born on June 21, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio to Carl and Adele Powilleit, who preceded her in death. Margaret is survived by Dale, her husband of 65 years, 2 daughters, Lisa (Roelof) Melzer of O’Fallon, IL and Linda (Joseph) Lally of Fairfield Township, OH. She is survived by her 6 grandchildren: Miranda Lally, Sophia Melzer, Molly Melzer, Elana Melzer, Claire Lally and Joseph Lally. Margaret is also survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Charla and Richard Boyer of Beavercreek, niece Christine (Dave) Lett, nephew Richard Todd (Sara) Boyer and their children, and niece Lindsey (Edward) Pauline and their children.

Margaret was a graduate of both Wilbur Wright High School and Capital University. For years she was an office manager and secretary. Margaret was an accomplished homemaker, as well as a crafter who excelled at sewing and cross-stitching, and she always had time to send a card or bake cookies. She was a loving wife who took such excellent care of her husband as well as her family and friends. Margaret was a childhood member of the former St. Paul Lutheran Church on Wayne Avenue until 1978, when she and her family became members at Peace Lutheran Church in Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3530 Dayton-Xenia Road, with Reverend Carey Hovland presiding. The family will receive friends at Peace Lutheran from 2:00-4:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 21, 2025. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethany Village or Peace Lutheran Church.
