Martha Jean Jean Owens Williams

passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 in Kettering, Ohio at the Walnut Creek Nursing Center where she had been a resident. She was born October 15, 1922 in Wamsley, Ohio. She was known as Jean to her friends and family. She lived in the Dayton and Kettering area for more than 60 years. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford E. Williams; her parents Foster and Sophie Owens; and older brothers and sisters. Her beloved son, James F. Williams, passed the same day as his mother. She is survived by her daughters, Jan Owens, Irvine, CA; Jane DeWees, Liberty, MO; and Janet Willett, Corona, CA; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 am, Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BELMONT CHAPEL, 648 Watervliet Ave., Dayton, Ohio. A Chapel service will follow at 10:30am, on Thursday, with interment in Wheelersburg, Ohio. A thanks is extended to the staff and nurses at Walnut Creek and to Hospice of Dayton. A special thanks to her nieces, Joan Nuessgen and Mary Jane Gilkerson and great-niece, Becky Story for the many hours of attention, care and comfort they gave to their Aunt Jean.
