Mary I Griffiths

Griffiths, Mary I., departed this life on July 20, 2017 at the age of 98. Mary was a graduate of Stivers High School and Miami Jacobs Business College. She was a long-time employee of Buckeye Iron and Brass Works, having served as Secretary to the President and Board of Directors. She completed her working days in the District Office of the United Methodist Church. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ray M. and Mary L. Griffiths; sister, Mildred Griffiths; brother, George Griffiths and his wife, Berta; and by a niece, Judy Berryhill. She is survived by a nephew, Dick Berryhill; niece, Patty (Brian) O’Connell; great nieces, Kate (Timothy) O’Leary and Jennifer (George) Hope; and by two great-great nieces. Mary was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, having served as Elder, Deacon, and various committees, as well as having sung in the choir for 43 years. She was also a member of the Dayton Music Club. Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 25th at 10:00 a.m. at David’s Cemetery. A service celebrating Mary’s memory will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
