

Mary Lu Kinzeler (Duffy), age 88 of Beavercreek, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013, with Hospice Care in her home, surrounded by her family. Born February 25th, 1925, she graduated from Julianne High School with the class of 1943. She retired from the University of Dayton, after many years as a secretary with the Chemical Engineering Department. She was a parish member of Immaculate Conception, where she also enjoyed her membership in the Free Spirits. She is preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Harry Duffy, and her husband Paul Kinzeler. She is survived by her son, Richard (Linda) Kinzeler, daughters Nancy (Mark) McHale and Becki Flohre. She had seven grandchildren, Chris (Shelly) Kinzeler, Meghann (Matthew) Rotterman, Zach (Dana) McHale, Blake Flohre (U.S. Navy), Jennifer Flohre, Lindsay Cottrell-Kinzeler, and Ami Flohre. She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Lauren, and Paul Kinzeler, Norah and Max Rotterman, and Kollins McHale. Mary Lu loved the Dayton Flyers, Cincinnati Reds, and her faithful puppy Sammie. Her smile was contagious and her sweetness and kindness were remarkable. May she rest in peace alongside her beloved Paul. Friends may call at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. on Monday evening, June 3 from 5-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 S. Smithville Rd. on Tuesday, June 4 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Satish Joseph, celebrant. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home at 9:45 AM Tuesday morning. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Mary Lu’s memory.
