Mary Elizabeth Laneve

LANEVE, Mary Elizabeth, age 89, of Dayton passed away peacefully at her home on August, 19, 2016. She is survived by her loving husband, Samuel A Laneve, M.D. of 64 years. She was proceeded in death by her parents, 2 Sisters and 2 Brothers. She is survived by 3 Sons, Joseph (Beverly), Thomas (Marcia), Gregory (Cathy); 5 Daughters, Mary Catherine (Vic) Parkhouse, Patricia (Doug) Bradley, Rosemary Good, Jeanne (Scott) Pettinichi and Boo (Brian) Shaw. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Nathaniel, Mary Beth, Allison, Paige, Amanda, Margaret, Samuel, Hannah, Emily, Natalie, Bailey, Matthew, Evan, Gabriella, Noah, Michael, Colin, Grant, Claire and Megan, as well as 12 great grandchildren. Loving & dedicated wife and mother of 8 children, Mary, at 4 yrs. old, along with 4 brothers and sisters, was raised by her father William J. Reagan, during the depression following the death of her mother, Margaret Regina Gaffney. This early childhood experience inspired her value of family and love of children. After graduation from Georgetown University as a nurse she met and married her husband while he was a Georgetown medical student. Our mother was loving, patient and active. Her husband and children have special memories of her playing tennis, volleyball, running and baking cookies. She kissed away the tears from skinned knees and broken hearts. We will miss her dearly. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 2 P.M. until 5 P.M. at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd, Kettering 45429.
