Mary Jo Rubertus

RUBERTUS, Mary Jo, received into God's loving arms 8 March, 2016 at age of 80. Born in Litchfield, MN to Fred and Irene Colberg, and raised in nearby Dassel MN, Mary received her nursing degree in June 1956 from the College of St Catherine, Minneapolis MN, and began a remarkable 44 year nursing career in pediatrics and internal medicine, with certification in 3 states. In 1958, she married Duane Rubertus, her devoted husband of 58 years. Together they raised four children. Mark is a physician, Scott (Jenny) an aerospace engineer, Pam a nurse, and Greg (Margo) an electrical engineer. Mary was well known for her generosity and devotion to her family, and is survived by 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Kristyn, Abigail, Jack, Cory, Rachel and Riley; her brother William Colberg, wife Billie, and daughters Camy and Heather; and brother Michael Colberg, wife Karin, and sons Shawn and Shane. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm Sunday, March 13, 2016, at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd, Dayton, OH 45429. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 am, Monday, March 14, 2016 at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave, Centerville, OH 45459. Final resting place, Calvary Cemetery.
