Merrill (Mort) Raymond Bolton of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on November 3, 2022 at the age of 76. Mort was born on July 1, 1945 in Oriskany, New York to the late Norman and Margaret (Rueger) Bolton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers William, Robert and George Bolton. Mort is survived by his wife Vernett (Parker) Bolton; Daughters: Alison (Greg) Burchett, Tammy (Kelly) Sparks, and Roni (Mark) McGee; Son: EJ (Lisa) Bolton; Granddaughters: Brittany Sparks, Dani (Brad) Opp, Lindsey (Kyle) Stires, Krista (Colin) Hoke, Cassa McGee and Sami McGee; Grandsons: KC (Bailey) Sparks and Aaron (Bailey) Burchett; Sister: Linda Mosca; Brother: Francis Bolton; nine great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.
Mort served in the Navy where he received the Navy Achievement Medal and a Purple Heart. After his service he went to nursing school then to anesthesia school. He had a successful 28 year career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist including time at Good Samaritan Hospital, Miami Valley and the VA.
Mort loved photography, woodworking, fishing, listening to oldies music and walking his beloved dog Mozzi.
A private family service will be held graveside on November 16 at 1pm at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
