Michael Rea Carroll

CARROLL, Michael Rea, M.D., "Mike", age 69 of Washington Township, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018. He was a very generous son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years Marsha, son Phillip (Meridith) Carroll M.D. of Richboro, PA, son Brent (Jessica) Carroll M.D. of Cincinnati, OH, daughter Emily (Steve) Carroll J.D. of Livonia, MI, 4 grandchildren Robert and Julia Carroll of Richboro, PA and Sarah and Samantha Carroll of Cincinnati, OH, his sister Marilyn Carroll of Naples, FL and his brother Dennis (Debbie) Carroll of Osgood, IN, mother in law Ruth Auter of Kettering, OH, and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents William Rea and Henrietta Carroll. Mike was born and raised in Osgood, IN. Mike was a graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School, Purdue College of Pharmacy, and Indiana University School of Medicine. After completing a residency he joined Medical Radiologists, Inc and was a staff Radiologist at St. Elizabeth Medical Center from 1979-1998. He often reminisced of his times growing up on the family farm and was very enthusiastic about all of his endeavors which included traveling, science fiction, computers, and his loved ones. The family will greet friends and family at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at St. Henry Catholic Parish, 6696 Springboro Pike Dayton, OH 45449 by Father Ron Combs. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Donations can be made to St. John Catholic Church Cemetery Fund, 331 S. Buckeye Street, Osgood, IN 47037 or a charity of your choice in Mike's memory.
