M.L. Withrow

The world had the privilege and joy of sharing in the life of M.L. for 91 years. He passed on February 10, 2022 at Kettering Hospital in the company of his children. He is preceded in death by his parents Evelyn and Milford, sister Margie Madewell, and brothers Delmer and Hubert. M.L. is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley, and his brother Ronald Withrow. Children, Michael (Leslie) Withrow, John (Gigi) Withrow, Vicki Withrow; grandchildren Sydney Withrow, Jamie (Evan) Haarmeyer, Chelsea (Colin) Baker, Sean Withrow Emily Seals, Kevin (Kaleigh) Seals, Sarah (Ben) Danklefsen, Kristen Withrow, Tyler Withrow; and great-grandchildren Oliver and Grayson Baker, Olivia Seals, and Charlotte and Peter Danklefsen.

He was born and raised in Morehead, Kentucky. He was a member of the US Navy. He spent most of his career at General Motors. He enjoyed planning reunions with his classmates from high school, and also family reunions throughout the years. M.L. ever the patriarch led his family by example, with fierce love and faith. He could often be found in his garden, tending the most beautiful roses and the plumpest tomatoes, or simply boasting about a child or grandchild’s most recent accomplishment. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, and grandpa. He will be deeply missed. A celebration of this pillar of the Withrow family will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of services on Wednesday, February 16.
