With a passion for learning and education, science teacher and chemical engineer Ramesh Saini lived to spread joy and knowledge to everyone that she knew. Ramesh passed away on August 17th, 2023 after a valiant battle against cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will honor her life’s journey through carrying on her legacy and memory. Shortly before her passing, Ramesh celebrated her 70th birthday with her large and loving family.
Ramesh was one of three women that attended her college near her home in Punjab, India. She was noted to be a stellar student even among the male dominated school. She went on to teach science during the next ten years in India. During this time, she would marry Onkar Singh Saini, and soon after, start a family. Together, they would begin a new journey, with their sons, to the United States. Overcoming several obstacles, she excelled in her career as a chemical engineer and at home as a dearly loved mother and aunt.
Ramesh loved to teach, whether by profession or through tales of her experiences. She was deeply faithful and used it to both find comfort and also grant it to others in time of need. Ramesh enjoyed sharing treats with her sons and grandson at any chance. She was a welcome presence during regular gatherings with her extended family. Her sense of humor and boisterous laughter will continue to bring joy to those who remember her.
Ramesh is survived by her sons, Sandeep and Ajay; her grandson, Anmol; her sisters Asha, Raj and Satvir; her brother Hari; and many cousins, nieces and nephews who keep her memory in their hearts.
She joins her father, Darshan; her mother, Sawaran; and her husband, Onkar, in the afterlife.
There will be a visitation and service for Ramesh on Saturday August 26, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road in Beavercreek, Ohio.
