

BULLOCK, Raymond P. - “Ray” age 91 passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at Bethany Village in Centerville, Ohio. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York; 24 missions as a B-17 combat pilot in England 1943, 365BS/305BG/8AF; shot down 10/14/43, P.O.W. Stalag Luft 3; married September 1947 while attending the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, 1948 Phi Beta Kappa graduate; Ray was an executive with General Electric (Schenectady, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Lynchburg) for 35 years, retiring in 1983; he and wife Gladys fully enjoyed the following 20 years of retirement in Forest, VA, where they were members of Timberlake United Methodist Church; moved to the Dayton area in 2003 residing first at Sycamore Glen in Miamisburg, and for the past 5 years at Bethany Lutheran Village. Ray and Gladys were members at Normandy United Methodist Church in Centerville, Ohio. In addition to his wife of 65 years, he is survived by sons Michael A. (Beverly) Bullock, Christopher J. (Diane) Bullock, David P. (Paula ) Bullock, and Peter R. (Angela) Bullock; a brother, Edward (Joan) Bullock; grandchildren Clare Boyd, Noah Bullock, Lucy Bullock, Christopher Bullock, Jenna Bullock, John Bullock, Seth Bullock, and Samantha Bullock; and a great granddaughter, Isabella Bullock. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Road, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm; Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home, Pastor Bob Ashburn officiating.
