   I'm happy your finally at rest after suffering a very long time. Your legacy will live on in everyone you made a better person. Especially me. I became a pilot with your support & encouragement. We had a signal when id take off over the track, id waggle my wings so he'd know which one was me as he could view one end of Xenia co. airport from his favorite chair. He always wanted to hear my stories & it warmwd my heart to bring a smile to his face. He's been many things to many people but he always stayed himself. They don't make 'em like him anymore...

Dick Chrysler helped me understand life better. He talked with me many times about how he and Barb created Dicks Trailers. He told me of all his hard work to get where he was and to have what he had. He enspired many with his wisdom and knowledge. He would share it with anyone at any time. To the Chrysler family my sencere symthapy to you all. Rememebr you now have anouther angel to look over you all. and remember the pain and suffereing are gone now. Peace to your family. Dick please tell the NASCAR greats hello from us all. like mom said...Grandpa had some funny sayings but the one I hear every day in my head on the way to work is "why does everyone need to be in such a rush to get where the are going.  If you are going 5 mph slower you'll get there in about the same time."  I don't follow the logic but it makes me smile every day.  You are missed Grandpa...please give that awesome women up there a big kiss form her grandaugher.  Godspeed Gpa

i can remember when i first started working on the track crew on friday nights .when on tuesday  nights we would have cookouts at dicks house and swim and one thing i will never forget is that i happen to get to close to the pool one night and lookout mr chrysler pushed me in the pool clothes and all  my prayers and condolences go out to the entire chrysler  family

Susan - sorry for you/your families loss, we went to Linden Elem together when I think you all lived near Dicks Trailers on Westerville Rd.  May God be with you during this difficult time, Pat Payne

Like all of you, I remember Dad being a hard worker. But he enjoyed his employee/friends as if they were family. We all went places together, whether it was swimming in the pool across from Dick's Trailers after work, going to the races together or going camping and riding motorcycles in the woods. He made time for people and at Kil-Kare his front door was always open.  He loved to sit on the patio and talk. never tiring of a good conversation.  He used to say to me "Don't put off til tomorrow what you can do today." a saying I will cherish all my life. As I know that he is in a better place, I miss those conversations and the active life that we had. How can you measure the love of a parent, maybe by honoring his words and his deeds.  I find a real void in my life since both Mom and now Dad have left this earth.  But they are in my thoughts everyday and they are truly missed.  Thank you all for sharing your love, it means a lot to us all.

My Uncle Dick was always good to me.
I worked for him at the race track
back in 1989.  He taught me many things I never thought I would never end up doing. I remember working after 5pm after all the rest of the grounds workers have left for the day. I would stay and work trying to get more done while it was still daylight. He would come looking for me, telling me it was time to quit. He sure loved the race track and everyone that came through the gates. I will always cherish the times we had together after a long day at work, and going out to dinner and talking about the day. Uncle Dick inspired me to work hard and always do my best.  I will miss you very much.

My uncle, Dick Chrysler, was known to me in his youth and my childhood as Kenny.  It wasn't until the late 1940s or 1950s that he became known by his first name, Richard.  He was a junior since his father was Richard Harrison Chrysler.  My dad always called him Junior.  Mom called him Dick and to him she was Sis.   My memory is that he could absolutely fix anything.  Though not a plumber, he could install faucets.  Trained as an accountant, he was not afraid to buy a race track, a trailer rental business, and make the trailers in the shop.  He was determined to be his own boss and very willing to work eighteen to twenty hours a day to make his businesses successful.   Uncle Dick had one of the most infectious laughs I have ever heard.  When he laughed, everyone around him became happy.  Always a bit of a kidder, he could convince me of any crazy thing he wanted to.  I have missed him for the six years he hasn't been able to communicate.  My Mom, his Sis, called him every Sunday for the past six years. His second wife Ruth would hold the phone for him.   He would try to communicate with her at times with words she couldn't understand.  But, he was telling her something in his own style--loudly and intensely.

Dick will be missed by many,he was a real race enthusiast and a lover of life.Will be remembered as one of the most fair,firm and smart bussiness men and friend to everyone,and loved all his familly.I will always remember him as my friend and fellow racer at heart,just don't think he has left you ,this is temporary, for he has went ahead to make a place for us all to meet again,and you know he will make it a better for all.
