

HEETER, Richard M., age 90, of Dayton, OH passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at Friendship Village. He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor (Deubner). They were wed November 4, 1950 and enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Richard was also preceded in death by his parents Mary (Neibert) and Howard Sr.; brothers Howard Jr., Donald, Eugene, and Thomas; and sister Phyllis Ledford Copp. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Gregg and De-De (Flory) Heeter of Leesburg, OH; granddaughters Marissa Heeter and Lauren Heeter-Krahn and husband Wendall, all of PA; brother John Clifford Heeter; special friends Darrell and Barbara Flory; and many nieces and nephews. Richard served in the Army in Five Campaigns in the European Theatre during World War II. He worked for Davis Coal & Oil, Patterson Iron, and Anchor Fabricators before retiring in 1986. Richard was an avid and excellent golfer, enjoying 20 years of membership at the Miami Valley Country Club as a young man. He was also fond of fishing and hunting. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Graveside services will be held at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 28, 2011.
