Richard Eugene Mercer of Beavercreek Ohio died on March 22, 2025. He is survived by his sons Jonathan and Patrick, his former wife Julia, siblings Dennis, David, Susan and was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Robert Mercer and Donna Jean (Horn) Mercer. Dr. Mercer was a graduate of The Ohio State University and the University of Washington, followed by 36 years as an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Wright State University.
