
SPOTLESON, Rita Marie Patricia Amendolea, age 84, passed away early Friday morning November 2, 2012 after a brief illness at the Kettering Medical Center. Rita was born March 17, 1928 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Bruno and Barbara Amendolea. In 1983 she retired from Kaiser Permenente Hospital, of Southern California. After moving to the Dayton area she was employed as a medical assistant; then a payroll clerk at the University of Dayton. Most recently Rita was employeed at the McCutcheon Music Studio as a bookkeeper. Rita loved life and enjoyed gardening, sewing and was an avid card player. She was a member of the Red Hatters Society and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Frederick E. Spotleson, brothers; Victor, Silvio and Richard Amendolea. Rita is survived by her daughters; Cindy (Robert) Lopardo, Shelly Sinclair all of Centerville, and Robin Gaul of Cape Coral, FL., grandchildren; Kevin (Jennifer) Lopardo of Katy, TX., Brian (Genevieve) Lopardo of Katy, TX., Kara (Andrew) Markworth of Centerville, Jason (Renee) Gaul of Durango, CO., Amber Gaul Reno, NV., Timothy Gaul of Durango, CO., nine great-grandchildren, brother Robert Amendolea, sisters-in-law; Josephine, Betty and Esther Amendolea, and a host of nieces and nephews. Family to receive friends Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Church of the Incarnation 7415 Far Hills Ave. Centerville, with Fr. Scott Wright celebrant; prayers 10:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Rita’s memory to SICSA 2600 Wilmington Pike Dayton, OH 45419.
