

Young, Rita Marie, age 92, of Riverside, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Dayton, OH on July 28, 1922, to Vincent and Ruby (Whitesell) Wahrer, who preceded her in death. Rita was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, whom she married on January 31, 1948, Ramon Orville Young on August 25, 2011. Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who strove to give the best love and care to her family. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Reverend Ken and wife, Kathy Young, Dr. Dan Young and wife, Sally Sackett, Mark and wife, Teri Young; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Bernard Wahrer, Jim and wife, Mary Wahrer; four grandchildren, Heidi and husband, Jim Hamburg, Janelle and husband, David Ord, Matthew and wife, Kartika Young, Nathan Young. Rita is also survived by many loving great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was an active member of Hillside Chapel in Beavercreek, and was a former Boy Scout Leader, school nurse and worked as a Daycare Associate. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Rita’s close neighbors for their love and care which enabled her to remain in her home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Reverend James Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
