Robert Bob Charles Minor

MINOR, Robert C., age 62 of Dayton, OH passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 27, 2015. He was born Dec. 9th, 1952 in Dayton, OH, son of Daniel & Pauline, preceded in death by his parents & God-son, Billy Harmon. He was proud to serve his country in The Army in the early 1970’s. He was a truck driver for 25 years, most recently for Spears Expediting. Bob was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cincinnati Reds and attended many games with his friends. He loved basketball as well, especially the UD Flyers. He attended many Browns games with his wife Karin and the Browns Gang on frequent trips to the Dawg Pound. He and his wife Karin also enjoyed many fishing trips covering areas from Lake Erie to Tennessee. Bob was an avid reader and history buff and any history question you could think to ask him, he typically knew the answer to. He also loved to play cards, especially poker. Bob was an avid music lover, of the Blues. He and Karin together with their Blues family, namely Chuck, Tim and Tom went to the first blues festival at the Dave Hall Plaza and every year thereafter for over twenty years. They attended many concerts together seeing such greats as The Rolling Stones, the late BB King, the late Stevie Ray Vaughn and the late Joe Lee Hooker. Robert is survived by his wife, Karin, sister, Patricia Sanders (Rob), very special niece Brittany Danielle (Andrew), brother, Tom Corcoran (Linda) and God-daughter, Erika Harmon. Robert was also survived by many other nephews & nieces, great-nephews & nieces including newborn great-niece, Mila, his Stowaway family and many other dear friends as well as his half brothers and sisters from the Minor side. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at 3pm at Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
