Robert “Rob” VonderBrink of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on August 7th 2024 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife: Ndeye; Children Mackensie (married to Zach), Victoria, James, Lilian, and Dayna; Grandchildren Bella, Casper, and Evie; Mother Vickie; Brother Mark (married to Jennifer); and many close friends. He is preceded in death by his father, David VonderBrink.
Rob was a wine connoisseur and worked as a professional fine wine coordinator. He was also an amazing chef and loved everything to do with food and flavors. His face would light up while reading new menus because he enjoyed trying new foods.
Rob had an amazing soul and would light up a room with his energy and happiness. He had a very helpful and thoughtful disposition, and loved spreading kindness by giving back to everyone; he also loved to plan special events for those close to him. He was a wonderful and romantic husband, and was a loving father to his children and step-children. Rob loved traveling, especially to the beach, and he had a great love of music. He was also a huge Chicago Bears fan and never missed the chance to watch a game.
Towards the end, Rob continued to fight his cancer and inspired everyone with his strength and courageousness. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
