Roger William English, age 82 passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbye and his mother, Cora English. Roger is survived by his son, Randy (Melissa) English, grandchildren: Daniel (Kristen) Ekberg, Matthew (Kara) English, Christopher (Dakota) English and Madelaine Allen; great grandchildren: Mia and Derek English and Emilee Ekberg; 2 sisters, Judy Clark, and Linda (Ralph) Ransdell. Roger retired from Tobias Funeral Home at 35 years of service. He was an aircraft mechanic in the U.S Air Force. He was an avid fisherman and belonged to the Greene County Fish and Game Club for many years. Roger was a devoted husband for 43 years, loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be missed by his family and friends. Friends may call from 6 – 7 pm Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave with a memorial service to follow at 7 pm. A private family interment will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens on Friday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Roger.
