Greg, Rodger, so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. My memories of both him and your mother run deep into my youth with all of you. 

I'm a bit of a movie buff and certain aspects of the movie Stand by Me, capture my memories of us as we hiked through the back woods of Beavercreek to Fairborn, Ohio. Greg, Rodger, and the entire family .. my deepest sympathies to you on the passing of Uncle Ron. He was such a great man, a living saint really. He had to be .. who else could ever forgive a hat pin prank gone wrong. I find comfort in knowing that he passed on what would have been Aunt Gracie's birthday. They are together again! Much love to all of you in this difficult time.

So very sorry to hear of the Colonel's passing. I will never forget his voice and his wonderful sense of humor. It was an honor to have known him and he will be sorely missed. He was a true hero and he left his mark on the world with patriotism, dignity, and class that is, and always will be, recognized as honorable by all who knew him.  Fly to the Angels, dear friend.

Greg, Rodger, so sorry to hear about your dad's passing.  I remember last enjoying Ron's company at my dad's funeral and the meal afterwards last year; it was a great comfort to have him there.  That and other fond memories of him, and Grace, and Randy, and you guys, are with me pretty often.  My favorite memory of Ron re-plays in my mind like a 5 second video loop from one sunny summer day when Ron was driving us somewhere, on base in the Simca, all windows down, in something like a relaxed rally driving mode, talking jovially to us about I don't remember what, while waving his cigar around.  Amazing what the mind holds on to sometime.  I am truly sorry that I won't be able to be with you for the services for Ron, but I will be thinking about him, and all of you.  Take care, Mike Clark
