Capt. Sam Doyal (R) passed away on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 at the age of 69. A Roswell, New Mexico native, he was born to Lois and Floyd Doyal. Sam enlisted in the Air Force in 1974 after marrying Ronnie. He later obtained his masters degree and became an officer rising to the rank of captain before retiring in 1995. After spending several years in Ohio, Sam returned to Roswell and married Patricia. While in Roswell he taught math at Roswell High. In 2018 he returned to Ohio to be closer to family. Sam is survived by his wife Patricia; his children by Ronnie: Heather, Erin, and Samuel; grandchildren: Taylor, Shayla, and Alaric; his siblings: John, June, Kathy, Linda, Marilyn, Norma, and Robert and their respective spouses; and an extended family of nieces and nephews and their children.
