Sarah Louise Jones-Leybourne

Sarah Louise Jones-Leybourne, age 90 of Beavercreek, born July 7, 1924 in Alcolu, South Carolina to Edward and Laura Ard. She passed away peacefully at Trinity Community in Beavercreek on November 6, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Jones Sr. in 1975 and her husband Ian Leybourne in 2000. She is survived by her son Samuel Jones Jr., and wife Judy Jones and step daughter Barbara Lewis and husband Jeff. She is survived by a sister, Laura Barwick of Monks Corner, SC. She is preceded in death by sisters Ann Hall, Georgia Witherspoon, Marcelle Barwick, Onie Morris, and Vera Rogers and a brother Harvin Ard. Her grandchildren also survive her: Tammy (Phil) Harris, Samuel Jones III, Angie (Chuck) Helton, Christy (Stewart) Phillips, Amy (Cory) Gushanas, Amanda (Brent) Meishield, Geoffrey (Katie) Lewis, and special friends Marcelle and Joe Inman; as do nineteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews in South Carolina. Sarah was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Trinity Community for the care they gave her. Friends may call at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel 3970 Dayton Xenia Rd. from 5-8 PM November 10, 2014. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday November 11, 2014 at 11 AM, with Pastor Dale R. Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
