shawn was my step dad um me and shawn use to go on long bike rides and it was always fun and funny and awesome but we would ride past the creek and even other time we would mostly go fishing and he was the lucky one mostlybc i had a little bit of patience and he would at leaste catch a fish i would not but this is what i look like just incase.

God looked around His garden and found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest,
God's garden must be beautiful-He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering;He knew you were in pain,
He knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you the day God called you home.




I met Shawn when I was young, he was my Brothers best friend. Shawn became my brother, he fit perfectly in our crazy family. He wasnt always the brightest crayon in the box but he had a bright soul and he litterly touched everyone he met. He had an amazing personality and an amazing way of making everyone feel welcomed, it was his gift. He will always be apart of my family And will always be in my heart. He taught me a lot about life and I'll miss him every day.  He left behind a beautiful daughter and an amazing family. I'm just glad I was apart of his life as long as I was. R.I.H. Brother. You're surely missed.

I worked with Shawn at KFC. He was one of the kindest people I have even known. Everyone loved him so much. He was quiet but once you got past his quietness his loving personality came through. There wasnt anything he wouldn't do to help another friend. As I sit here and write this I cant stop the tears. He talked about his daughter endlessly. I have never seen a more proud father. I have different memories that are popping up in my head. Just random conversations we would have about life. He loved his family. He truly loved Melissa. He loved his daughter so so much. He loved his mom and his sisters. He spoke of all of you so much. I am torn up about this. Shawn you were a beautiful soul. May God give you peace. <3 I will miss you

I always had the best memories with Shawn, from joking around at work to fishing at 3am. He was one of the sweetest and most genuine guys I’ve ever met. He cared so much for those around him without thinking about it. His family meant the most to him, his children especially. I always looked forward to working with Shawn, he was always a pleasure. He went from a coworker, to a really great friend, and I will miss him dearly. To his family, my heart aches for you all. I’m so sorry for your loss. 

I was Shawn’s Manager when he worked at KFC. He was always had such a gentle, kind soul. No matter what kind of day he was having, if he saw that I needed to talk, needed a break, he would make sure I got it. He always would make sure we all laughed and was in a better mood. He would talk about his daughter and show us pictures of her all the time. He was so proud of all his family. Shawn grew to be more than just my employee, he was my friend. I will always value and cherish the memories with our friendship. 

To his fiancé Melissa, his children, and the rest of Shawn’s family,
    May there be comfort in knowing that someone so special as Shawn,  will never be forgotten. I pray that God, who he knows your sorrow brings each and everyone of you peace, comfort, and healing to your soul.
