GOODPASTER, Shirley A. (nee Ludwig), 78, of Kettering passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014. Born on July 8, 1935 to the late Lionel and Dorothy Ludwig of Dayton. Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim; brother, Bernard (Tony) Ludwig; and sister, Carol Butler. She is survived by her children, Larry of Cleveland, OH; Bruce (Teresa) of Marianna, FL; and Carol of Dayton; grandchildren Carmen (Allen) Walters, James Goodpaster, Kyrie Ross, and Rachel Ross; great-grandchildren Lylah Ross, Lorelai Walters, and Zoey Lewis; loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of long-time friends. Graduating from Wilbur Wright H.S. Class of '53, Shirley gave freely of her time, her energy, and her love – to her family, her friends, her church, the Red Hats, Lathrem Senior Center, and anyone in need. Visitation will be from 10 am, Tuesday, April 29, 2014, followed by a funeral service at 11 am, at Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Rd, Kettering, OH.
