

WHYTE, Shirley A., age 80 of Dayton passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Bethany Village. Shirley was born on October 26, 1930 in Dayton, Ohio to Frank Lewis Pritchard and Jeanette Stein. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Whyte; son, Brady Whyte; daughter, Wendy Whyte; and her parents. She is survived by her two sons, Howard "Biff" Whyte and his wife Susan of Wales, Massachusetts and Buck Whyte and his wife Melanie of Springboro, Ohio; four grandchildren, Dr. Fadra (Ryan) McPhee of Brooklyn, New York, Avery (Eric) Reyna of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, and Chip and Megan Whyte of Springboro, Ohio; and a great grandson, Aden Reyna. Shirley was a graduate of Stivers High School and attended Miami University. She was an active member of Normandy Church since 1958 and was extremely involved in school and community activities in Centerville, several local garden clubs, past President of the Centerville Women's Club, past President of the Normandy Methodist Church Women. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Normandy United Methodist Church, 450 W. Alex-Bell Road, Centerville, Ohio 45459, with the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Pastors Jim Riggs and Harvey Smith officiating. Interment immediately following at David's Cemetery.
