

Born on July 30th, 1930, Sreeram Babu was born and raised in Chennai, India. He attended Loyola College in Chennai, and spent his career working as a statistical officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of India.
Sreeram Babu was deeply committed to his spiritual journey and his meditation practice, and was a devoted disciple of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM) and its guide, Babuji Maharaj.
Sreeram Babu spent every day in his garden when he was in India. He was also an avid reader and writer, and took time almost every day of his last five years translating SRCM literature from his mother tongue, Telugu, into English.
Above all, Sreeram Babu will be remembered for his good humor, his kindness and humility, his deep faith, and his love for his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, eldest brother, and son, Venkatsesh Kumar. He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Lakshmi Sakuntala Velisetti; brother, Dr. V. Parthasarathy; daughter, Dr. Lalitha Rao (Chiranjeevi); son, Prasad Venkat (Shanthi); grandchildren Vidya (Jayakar), Madhavi (Kyle), Mamata, Kiran, and Charan; and great-grandchildren Nirav, Saranya, Leena, and Kareena. He is already deeply missed by his wife and his family.
Due to COVID restrictions, the funeral services will be private and restricted to close family and friends.
