Su Chin Umbaugh

Su Chin Umbaugh (aka Yun), 57, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed on September 10, 2022. Su was born in South Korea and emigrated to the United States in her early 20s. She worked hard to create a life supporting herself, completing a degree in fashion & interior design, and finally, pursued and was awarded an Ohio State License in Advanced Cosmetology. This led her into a 25-year career in cosmetology and she became owner of Yuniq Salon in Centerville, Ohio, which was her lifelong dream. Early in her career, she was blessed with a daughter, Rhiannon, who is now 23 years old. A lover of all art, Su took pride in her work as a beautician, while also expressing her talents through artistic drawing, clothing, and jewelry design. Later in life, Su also became an avid gardener, growing her beloved garden with tender care and patience.

Su was a dedicated member of Fairhaven Church in Beavercreek, Ohio, and she lived her life in excitement for the Lord. Su also loved traveling to new destinations with her beloved husband, Steven Umbaugh. Together, the two of them most recently explored such places as New York, San Diego, Hawaii, and Florida. Above all, Su's favorite destinations in life always involved relaxing on the beach and enjoying a beautiful sunset.

Su is survived by her husband, Steven Umbaugh of Beavercreek, Ohio; her daughter, Rhiannon Sturgill of Kettering, Ohio; her mother, Mija Yoon; her younger brother, Yong-gwang Lee; and her younger sister, Christine Eunjoo Lee, all from South Korea.

Su left a lasting positive impression on the people whose lives she touched. Those who knew and loved her are invited to a celebration of Su Umbaugh's life, which will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 2-4PM at the Beavercreek Golf Club, 2800 New Germany Trebein Rd, Beavercreek, Ohio 45431.
