

BOESCH, Sue Ellen (nee Anderson) passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 at her home in Kettering. She was born May 10, 1944 in Dayton to the late John and Henrietta (Homan) Anderson. In addition to her parents, Sue was also preceded in death by her infant brother David and sister-in-law Fanny Anderson. She is survived by her husband of 34 years Horace J. (Jack) Boesch, step-daughters Susan Trangenstein (Jeff) of Dayton, Karen Shadowens, (Robin), of North Carolina, brothers Roland Anderson of (Centerville), Gary Anderson (Rene’) of Springboro, Doug Anderson (Jill) of Rochester Hills Michigan, sisters Ann Anderson of Cold Spring Kentucky and Jane Anderson (fiance’ Stephen Torstrick) of Lexington Kentucky, three grandchildren Carly and Allison Trangenstein, Ashley (David) Harrison, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Special friends Georgiana Nye and Bobbie Roland. Sue Ellen attended Our Lady of Good Hope grade school in Miamisburg and was a 1962 graduate of Miamisburg High School where she was the Homecoming Queen. She attended the University of Dayton where she earned her degree in education in 1967. Sue also attended the School at the Dayton Art Institute. She taught school at Incarnation in Centerville and St. Albert the Great in Kettering. She also became a real estate agent, earned her broker’s license and retired from Coldwell Banker-Heritage Realtors. Sue was an avid reader and an accomplished artist. She volunteered as a docent at the Dayton Art Institute and served on the Kettering Arts Council from 2011 – 2020, for which she chaired the Art on the Commons Committee from 2017 – 2021. She also served on the Kettering Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Advisory Board, the U.D. Libraries Advisory Committee, the Kettering parks Foundation Board and the Golden Flyers Executive Committee. She received the Kettering Mayor’s Award for Volunteer Service in 2018. She was also a past winner of the Kettering Neighborhood Pride Award. She and her husband Jack were avid U.D. Flyer fans, attending most of their games. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and especially liked being on the beach in Longboat Key. She loved traveling and saw much of the world. She was a long time member of St. Albert the Great Church in Kettering. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
